I can’t believe it’s happening. After months of talking and beating around the proverbial bush, my husband and I are actually doing it. We are leaving our life in the city and moving to, well, I’m not exactly what to call it. It’s not the country, or the sticks. It’s not in the mountains, because it’s kind of in the desert. It’s not so far removed because it’s only an hour away from the largest city in the state, but i’m pretty sure that the town itself only has one stop light- IF that. Anyway, the point is this: in 3 weeks, my family of 6 humans and 2 beasties will be residing in a tiny 600 sqft house while we BUILD our dream house from the ground up. and I mean BUILD. Like with our hands. And a hammer. Maybe 2.
