About Us

2 adults, 5 kids, and a few dozen animals transitioning from convenient, easy, city living to the hard, exhausting, and sacrificial life of homesteading, where we will get dirty, tired, and probably cry more than we want to admit all while gaining experience and growing closer together.
#worthit

My name is Nicole. My husband and I, along with our kids, moved from the largest city in our state, to a tiny-one-school-no-stop-light-town that still has a pay phone. No joke, a quarter slot payphone. I thought those things were as extinct as the triceratops.  My husband was raised in a much SMALLER town, so he’s as happy as a clam. Although most days I realize that I’m in WAY over my head. I just hope that I survive the first few years with minimal injuries and am able to teach my kids that dirt isn’t as deadly as I once thought it was.
Our intended goal is to build a house, buy and raise some animals, plant a garden, keep the animals and the garden alive, and somehow begin a homeschooling journey with the kids, and, God willing, do it all with a happy and loving heart.
Wish us Luck!
